Every great home coffee bar needs a great way to display beautiful coffee mugs and what better way than using a coffee mug tree. Most homes don’t have a lot of room for a coffee bar so you need to maximize your space. Using a coffee mug tree gives you the option to go vertical with your display rather than horizontal.
I am in the process of setting up my own home coffee bar in the dining area of our home. I’ve been searching for the perfect accessories with a coffee mug tree being one of them. I found quite a few options. There are coffee mug trees that are made from metal, iron, or even wood.
Many people choose to display their coffee mugs on the wall in one fashion or another but for me, a wall rack for the coffee mugs was not an option. I am using a wicker baker’s rack that I already had. It has two upper shelves so I needed a display option that sat on a shelf.
There are so many cute options that I decided to share my great finds with you.
#1 Colonial Tin Works Coffee Mug Tree
This first one I found was probably one of the cheapest coffee mug trees…. This Colonial Tin Works Coffee Mug Tree looks very nice and would go with many styles which makes it very versatile. I loved the black iron look. I liked the simplicity of it… and it fit my space. And it holds 4 mugs which is how many is in the set of mugs I planned to use. This is the one that I ultimately decided to go with. I only had 15 inches between the main shelf where I wanted my coffee mug tree to sit and the shelf above it. Plus it wasn’t too tall for the top shelves in case I decided to move it around.
But let me show you some other coffee mug trees that I found. They each have great points about them that make them a great choice for any home coffee bar.
#2 Vintage Galvanied Table Top Coffee Mug Rack
My favorite one is this Vintage Galvanized Table Top Coffee Mug Rack. It is so dreamy but it is also more expensive. If expense is not important, then I would go for this one. Another reason I couldn’t go with this one was because of the height. I would have wanted this counter height and I did not have the space between the main shelf and the one above it. This would be perfect in a more open space like a larger buffet but not on my wicker baker’s rack.
#3 Vintage Bronze Cup and Saucer Tree
Now I thought this one was very unique. This Vintage Bronze Cup and Saucer Tree would work perfectly if you have cup and saucer sets rather than mugs. I know we are talking about mug trees but this one really caught my eye and I wanted to include it. I love floral cups and saucers. In fact I have a few sets that I’ve bought at estate sales or garage sales that I have on display. This rack would work perfectly for them. It really is a lot about what look you are going for too.
#4 Antique Black Rotating Coffee Mug Tree
I like this Antique Black Rotating Coffee Mug Tree because it rotates. I think that would be a great advantage for a coffee mug tree to rotate. It would make it much easier to get at the coffee mugs. Besides, anything that spins is fun… It holds 8 mugs which is nice.
#5 French Country Coffee Mug Tree with Basket
This French Country Coffee Mug Tree with Basket would be a great asset for any home coffee bar. I like this one as it is all about maximizing your space. The basket would be a great spot to store the k-cups if you do not already have a rack to hold them. It would be a handy place for napkins, coffee stirrers, or any other little things you might like to include in your own home coffee bar. I really wanted to get this one but again, it was too tall for my space.
#6 Wood Coffee Mug Tree
I like this simple Wood Coffee Mug Tree. It’s simple. And I like simple. Oh, don’t get me wrong….. I like fancy too but there is something to be said of simplicity. You could repaint it to fit your own color scheme. This one fits 8 mugs. You can also find wood ones that only hold 4 mugs.
#7 Basic Coffee Mug Tree
Lastly I wanted to show you this Basic Coffee Mug Tree. If economy is important to you…. this one is not too expensive. It is very simple. Holds 6 mugs. It comes in Black, Bronze, or Silver. And it should not take up too much space. My biggest concern with this one is that it is rather tall for the base and I wonder about balance when you remove a mug or two.
Hope this helped you find your perfect coffee mug tree. It is a very important element for the perfect home coffee bar.
Bye for now… XOXO
Cindy
